Cleansing mind, body & spirit with Water Release Therapy®
Back in 2020, we all remember this time as being stressful and transformative for both good and bad. During this stressful time I also lost my grandfather who helped raise me. I was feeling hopeless, sad and stressed. I had the pleasure of connecting with WRT Water Release Therapy® practitioner, Mimi Camarillo, on Instagram. I was so curious about her services and as someone who was thrown into water as a baby, I thought this could be a healing experience for me.
Once you are around Mimi you are instantly calm in her presence. Mimi’s energy is not only calm but also loving and nurturing. She makes you feel safe as you float in and out of her arms through the water.
During this therapy you are in 98.6°F heated water. Closing your eyes and being guided through this water makes you feel as though you are back safe and cozy in your mother’s womb. As the water engulfs you, you're not just getting wet— you're shedding the baggage of yesteryear.
During your hour-2 hour session you are taken in and out of the water including light stretching and message. You forget about everything during that time and when you step out you feel cleansed and free.
You might be wondering. What is Watsu?
Watsu is performed in warm water and involves a practitioner gently moving and stretching the client's body. It is known for promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and increased flexibility. It is a dynamic experience designed to surf through trauma, shake off old patterns, and let loose the good vibes stored in your body and mind.
Benefits of WRT Water Release Therapy® include….
Profound relaxation
Reduced pain, stress, and fatigue
Increased energy and vitality . Reduced muscle tension, weakness, and guarding
Increased range of motion
Improved posture, breathing, and circulation.
Release of emotional issues and deep-seated trauma.
Chronic back, shoulder, neck, or hip problems.
Recently, I visited Mimi in the warm water again soon after my step-dad suddenly passed. In the water she held my hands and we discussed the recent passing of and dealing with these important paternal figures that have left me earth side. During this visit she had also added sound bath to her Watsu therapy. The ringing of the singing bowls in the water vibrates your entire body through the water. Once I get out of the water I feel so light and calm. I’ve never been so calm actually. It’s honestly a feeling that everyone needs to experience.
If you are near or taking a trip to Ojai you do not want to miss this special mind, body, and soul experience in the warm water.
